Car pollution standards, the registration of chemicals, the ceiling on bank charges on payment cards, access to buildings for the mobility-impaired, the proportion of women on boards of directors, hunting dates and practices\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">So Europe does matter. And it is often at this level that the balances of power, the confrontations and the decisions that affect us are played out. Trop diff\u00e9rente de notre culture politique et \u00e9conomique hexagonale, l&#8217;Europe est \u00e9trange &#8211; donc \u00e9trang\u00e8re. Et cette \u00e9tranget\u00e9 provoque beaucoup de  fantasmes politiques, des eurob\u00e9ats aux europhobes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Pourtant, l&#8217;Europe est au coeur des enjeux \u00e9conomiques et politiques de notre quotidien. Elle est un \u00e9chelon de pouvoir aussi essentiel pour notre cadre de vie que la mairie ou les minist\u00e8res. Environ un tiers de nos lois nationales en proviennent, et dans certains domaines c&#8217;est plus de la moiti\u00e9. Les normes de pollution automobile, l&#8217;enregistrement des produits chimiques, le plafond des commissions bancaires sur les cartes de paiement, l&#8217;acc\u00e8s des b\u00e2timents aux handicapp\u00e9s moteurs, la proportion de femmes dans les conseils d&#8217;administration, les dates et pratiques de chasse&#8230; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Donc l&#8217;Europe compte. Et souvent, c&#8217;est \u00e0 son niveau que se jouent les rapports de force, les confrontations et les d\u00e9cisions qui nous concernent.
